Well Woman Care
Welcome to MyDoctor DPC!
An annual well-woman exam is one of the best ways to stay healthy at any age.
At MyDoctor Direct Primary Care, I perform well-woman exams customized to meet your needs.
I’m here to help you stay healthy and happy.
A well-woman exam is a yearly checkup. During the exam, I will perform a pelvic exam, a clinical breast exam, and other tests as needed. Often, a well-woman exam includes a Pap smear or HPV testing, and it can sometimes include vaccinations, such as the HPV vaccination to prevent cervical cancer if needed.
Your well-woman exam also includes birth control, family planning, and sexual health support. If you need birth control like oral contraceptives, I can prescribe it during your well-woman exam.
Although sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing isn’t routinely included in a well-woman exam, you can get the appropriate tests at that time, too. You can also have a pregnancy test during your well-woman exam.

A Pap smear is a test that examines a small sample of your cervical cells to check for abnormal changes that might indicate cervical cancer. Nearly all women in the 21-65 year age range need regular Pap Smears every 3 to 5 years. I will make customized recommendations based on your health and situation.
Regular Pap smears are vital because they can often uncover early cervical abnormalities. This means you can get treatment to remove potentially dangerous cells before they can become cancerous and affect your health and wellbeing.
